War Buds 2: On Alert takes place in two towns — Bridgeport and Bodie.
The image above is a shot of Bodie, California. It will give you some sense of where the action takes place. It’s like the Wild West. It’s one of the biggest ghost towns in the United States. If you have never been to Bodie or haven’t heard of it. I recommend heading over to Bodie’s main website. It has a rich history, and apparently there is a curse associated with the place.
It was established back in the 1800’s by William Bodey, after he found gold there. After his death, thousands came and at one time the place was bigger than the city of Los Angeles. There were 10,000 residents until two big fires swept through the place and it was reduced to only 5%. Eventually in time as it became harder to find gold, families started leaving and they basically upped and left, leaving behind nearly all of their belongings.
